Message from the Headteacher
Thank you for visiting our school website, my name is Tony Bowles and I have proudly held the position of Headteacher at Crestwood school since 2012. Over the past 5 years the school has been on an incredible journey, and the best news is....we feel we have only just begun!
Our goal is to become an outstanding school in all areas and our achievements so far indicate that we are on the right track.
In over 2 decades of working in education I can honestly say I have never worked with such an enthusiastic, innovative, and hardworking team of teachers and support staff.
This creates an environment that our students can thrive in. Our results speak for themselves and in 2014 OFSTED graded our school GOOD. We have also received national recognition for the progress we make with our students, twice rated in the top 20% nationally for value added, this is now the headline figure that the Department for Education will be using to measure schools, putting us way ahead of the game!
We are a founder member of the Invictus Education Trust, our forward thinking approach to the academy programme has seen us secure over £2 million worth of funding to improve our school in the last 2 years alone! This means our ambition for providing our students with a world class environment to learn in are beginning to be realised. We now boast a floodlit, state of the art 4G sports pitch, a newly refurbished swimming pool, 6 science labs, countless computer suites, 2 whole year groups with access to iPads and Apple TV installed in every classroom.
Anyhow, that's enough from me, I hope you find what you are looking for on our website today, and if not, please do not hesitate to call us with any questions.

The Crestwood School had the privilege of welcoming the President of Dudley Rotary Club Ian Walden OBE, the Immediate Past President Ron Ashley from the Rotary Club of Rugeley, together with our Books4Home Rotary Club representatives, Beverley Ricketts and Ken Powell. We had a fantastic and very productive meeting, sharing our achievements regarding the Book4Home project in School. Crestwood School Books4Home champions, Dillon Nixon and Harrison Morgan gave details of their experiences distributing books, donated by the Rotary Club, to our new Year 7 students. Dillon gave an excellent power-point presentation, including photographs of our students selecting their books, video-clips of students being interviewed and feedback from students about the project, given afterwards.
Mr Martin Jordan, our Business and Marketing Director, joined the meeting and explained Crestwood School’s Student Leadership Pathway and how students will get outside accreditation for the extra activities and responsibilities they undertake, whilst they attend our School.
We have some tremendous ideas for taking Books4Home and the Rotary Club to a new level within our School. This is a great project and we thank the Rotary Club for letting us get involved.

STUDENT AND PARENT NOTICE
I am sure that some of you might be aware that the Mary Stevens Hospice Charity Shop situated on Lawnswood Road suffered a break in a few nights ago.
All of their Christmas stock has been stolen! Thousands of donations for christmas hampers and raffles have gone and this will have a huge impact on all of those people that rely on them.
As a school we have decided to launch a coordinated appeal for all staff and students to donate what they can to help replace the stolen stock. Form tutors will be speaking with their forms this afternoon and throughout next week to appeak for donations of food, drink (non alcaholic!) and raffle prizes. Any donation, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated. We will collect donations throughout the week during form time and deliver them to the store, NEXT FRIDAY 2ND DECEMBER. Thanks in advance for your support, if you could share this post to ensure as many parents and students see this notice that would be great. Lets make a difference!
